Get to know Katie.

Winning from the basketball court to the courtroom.

Some lawyers are born competitors, but there’s a big difference between wanting and winning.

Growing up as the youngest of three sisters in Buffalo, Katie was always chasing someone a couple of years older, a few inches taller, and seemingly always ahead. But she learned something powerful about consistency and dedication during those hours spent practicing her ball handling: Put in the effort, and you’ll get the result you want. When she finally beat her sister one-on-one, it was proof that determination could overcome any advantage.

That same competitive drive led Katie to play soccer, basketball, and lacrosse in high school, then to excel at the University at Buffalo for both her undergraduate and law school studies. There, she found her calling in the trial team and moot court, where she could channel that competitive energy into litigation. What motivated Katie was the clear connection between input and results: “Put in the work and win,” she says.

After experiencing the difference that working for attorneys who put in the time to mentor makes for junior associates, Katie values the opportunity to learn directly from partners. With a long-term goal of becoming a respected trial attorney, the chance to work with attorneys whom she describes as “people that I would want to emulate” is invaluable.

A lifelong Buffalo resident and devoted Bills and Sabres fan, Katie understands the loyalty and persistence required to stick with teams through good seasons and bad. She brings that same steadfast commitment to her clients and her practice, whether she’s handling complex litigation or taking on the challenge of building something new with Mullins McDonnell.

From the driveway basketball court to the courtroom, Katie knows that putting in the work consistently leads to the results you want. And for clients going through their most challenging legal issues, that’s exactly the kind of advocate they need on their team.
